At its core, project management is all about delivering results. Project managers use a variety of tools and techniques to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders involved. They oversee the project lifecycle, from the initial planning stage to the final delivery of the project, and are responsible for managing risks, resolving conflicts, and ensuring that all tasks are completed according to the project plan. Successful project management requires a combination of strong leadership, effective communication, and a deep understanding of project management principles and methodologies.

Program

1. Introduction to Project Management: This course will provide an overview of the principles and practices of project management. Participants will learn the basics of project planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closing. They will also learn about the project management life cycle and the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).. . 2. Project Planning and Scheduling: This course will cover the basics of project planning and scheduling, including creating a project charter, developing a project plan, and creating a project schedule. Participants will learn how to use project management software tools such as Microsoft Project to plan and schedule their projects.. . 3. Project Budgeting and Cost Management: This course will cover the basics of project budgeting and cost management, including how to create a project budget, manage project costs, and control project spending. Participants will learn how to use project management software tools such as QuickBooks to manage project finances.. . 4. Project Risk Management: This course will cover the basics of project risk management, including how to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Participants will learn how to use project management software tools such as @Risk to manage project risks.. . 5. Project Communication and Stakeholder Management: This course will cover the basics of project communication and stakeholder management, including how to communicate effectively with project stakeholders and manage their expectations. Participants will learn how to use project management software tools such as Slack to communicate with project stakeholders.. . 6. Project Quality Management: This course will cover the basics of project quality management, including how to define project quality, implement quality control processes, and measure project quality. Participants will learn how to use project management software tools such as Six Sigma to manage project quality.. . 7. Project Closure and Evaluation: This course will cover the basics of project closure and evaluation, including how to close out a project, conduct a project evaluation, and identify lessons learned. Participants will learn how to use project management software tools such as SharePoint to manage project documents.. . All the course will be held, in a location that is easily accessible by public transportation. Each course will be conducted over a period of 3 days, with a combination of lectures, workshops, and hands-on exercises. Participants will receive a certificate of completion at the end of each course.

Worshop & Serious Game

The objective of the Serious Game is to learn and develop project management skills while offering an immersive and fun experience. Participants will be immersed in a virtual environment where they will have to plan, execute, and manage fictional projects. Emphasis will be placed on the practical application of project management skills, decision-making, problem solving, and collaboration.

Introduction to the game: Ilaria Digital School will present the context of the project, its objectives, and the constraints that participants will face. It will also explain the rules of the game, the resources available, and the criteria for the success of the project.

Planning phase: Participants will need to develop a detailed project plan defining milestones, deliverables, required resources, and timelines. They will also need to identify potential risks and propose mitigation measures.

Allocation of resources: Participants should allocate available resources effectively, taking into account required skills, availability, and priorities. They will also need to manage budgetary and time constraints.

Project monitoring and management: Participants will need to monitor project progress, update performance indicators, manage risks, resolve issues, and make strategic decisions to ensure project progress.

Communication and collaboration: Participants will need to communicate effectively with their team, stakeholders, and customers. They will need to organize meetings, write progress reports, resolve conflicts, and maintain good collaboration throughout the project.

Decision making: Participants will need to make important decisions related to the project, such as adjusting the scope, allocating additional resources, revising the schedule, or changing priorities. They will need to assess the consequences of their decisions on the project and make the best decisions possible.

Risk management: Participants will need to anticipate potential risks related to the project and put in place measures to mitigate them. They will also need to manage unexpected risks that may arise along the way and take the necessary actions to manage them effectively.

Skills Development: Throughout the game, participants will have the opportunity to develop their project management skills through tutorials, stakeholder advice, and additional resources. They will also be able to exchange knowledge with other participants and learn from each other.

Project evaluation and closure: At the end of the game, participants will present the results of their project and receive an evaluation of their performance based on predefined criteria. A debriefing session will be organized to discuss lessons learned, successes and failures, and recommendations for future improvement.
